Here are the musicians:
Stein Stokke has been into music since the sixties, and through decades established himself as a significant blues artist. Stein is well known for his raw, powerful yet soulful voice, and has developed a personal harmonica style. As far as one knows, he's the only one who plays jew's harp (jaw- /mouth harp) in a blues context. In addition, he plays guitar in the Blues Duo. With roots deeply anchored in the nutritious soil of the blues, Stein writes most of the songs with co-arrangements from Trond Eliassen and The Engine, Some of his lyrics have even been printed in magazines, and he is known to spice up the concerts with quick remarks and stories about the songs.
Trond Eliassen on guitar and slide has a distinctive guitar tone signature, built on years of experience, always focused on giving the song its proper character.
Trond has been playing in bands like Slåbrock, Egotrip, Statesboro Blues/Light Voodoo and Fett Nok to mention a few, and played at multitude of festivals and clubs.
In addition, Trond's an experienced sound engineer, producer, composer and arranger within several music genres. He holds the role of studio technician producer on all singles from 2023 and ongoing for The Engine and Stokke/Eliassen Blues Duo.
Rune Bryn on drums enjoys considerable recognition as a band member as well as a studio and session drummer. Rune delivers outgoing, interesting, innovative yet "old time grooves", which allows the band to maintain a pleasant sound image.
Borgar Skoveng on bass is a rock solid musician with extensive, genre-crossing experience as a band member, studio- and session musician, arranger and co-composer etc. Among those who have benefited from Borgar's melodious choice of tones and musical competence are Stina Stenerud & Her Soul Replacements, The Men They Couldn't Shave, Morsa Blueslag, Frode Johansen et al. Borgar has played almost every Norwegian blues club and -festival, and his reputation has brought him to several gigs in the rest of Europe
